Better yet, we really really do use computers in this here part of the Ozarks. If you want to check the availability of your kabin for your vacation dates, click on the "Online Reservations" icon to check it out. If it is available, you can either call us to reserve it or continue on line through the system. Yer reservations will be booked through our "Mountaineer" Reservation System and all yer required info will come to us, feud free. We also like to get email every once and a while living here in the mountains away from the fast pace and "Doin Nothing". If you want us to send you written information (you know, a brochure of some type), or would just like to make an inquiry as to availability or just say hello, contact us using our mailing address below. | Are you on Lake Taneycomo? | Naw, not now! I'm takin a break before I go fishin. Our family place, however, is located 1 1/2 blocks from the Lake, about 200 yards give or take. |
| Can you swim in the Lake? | Begining Memorial Day Weekend 2004 the new Lake Taneycomo Swimmin Hole at Rockaway Beach opened for your use. The water may be a little cool, but with summer temperatures in the 90's it's a bit refreshing. You will now be able to have some Fun in the Sun at Rockaway Beach. |
| Are boats available? | As long as they're not hitched! We have several local Marinas located at Lake Taneycomo in downtown Rockaway Beach. |
| How about fishing? | Oh yea! Fishin is as wonderful as Moon Pie and RC Cola! Rockaway's public fishing dock juts out into the lake to allow you excellent fishing opportunities year round. The Lake is regularly stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout. If you have a boat, there also is a public boat launch for your use. Both are available to you FREE! |
| Can we bring our boat? | Our resort facilities for parking your boat trailer are limited. Please give us a call so we can assure you have a space for your boat trailer and give you slip information to get a boat slip if needed. Our resort has facilities for parking your trailers, but parking your boat may be tight. Call Aunt Carol or Uncle Joe for slip information. The charge is usually around $5.00 per day. |
| Do we need to bring linen and bedding? | Absolutely not!! Our efficiency kabins are for your enjoyment so why should you need to bring bedding and towels. We even supply you with large pool towels. We also supply you with the basic cookware and utensils, but if you have a favorite pot or pan, feel free to bring it. |
| Are Pets allowed? | Billy Bob's is the kabin of choice for bringin a pet. We do allow a smaller dog (30 lbs or less) only at Billy Bob's Kabin. Should you decide to bring your furry family member, please be aware that local regulations require that pets may not be left alone in your kabin should you leave to visit the area. Several fine "Pet Resorts" are available in the area for your use. Please give us a call should you have any questions. |
| Is a deposit required? | A one night deposit per cabin is required for all reservations. Please read our cancellation policy on the RATES page and the availability form on our Reservation System. Our policy is to allow guests to make legitimate reservations for their preferred cabin and time. |
